Grassy Narrows River Run for Mercury Justice

For decades, industrial mercury contamination from unwanted mining activities has polluted the land and water of Grassy Narrows, causing devastating illness and decreased quality of life for the Indigenous community.

Grassy Narrows, who has successfully stopped colonial activity on their land before, is currently suing Ontario and Canada for violating its obligations to the community by poisoning and neglecting to remediate the Wabigoon River.

Just Futures Kingston is inviting anyone interested in participating in this latest generation of struggle to join the free bus ride from Kingston to Toronto on September 18th to march in solidarity with Grassy Narrows youth and community members.
